Our investment priorities

We're committed to enhancing the living experience of our tenants and advancing the neighbourhoods we serve. We understand the importance of constructing new homes but given the current economic climate, our Management Committee has had to make the difficult decision to temporarily halt our plan to build 293 new homes in the coming years.

We will be postponing all new build projects until further notice, but will prioritise Langholm, Selkirk Road in Moffat, and Brooms Road in Dumfries which will be delivered over an extended period.

We believe it's crucial to balance our desire to build new homes with improving the energy efficiency of our existing homes. We are actively collaborating with stakeholders to identify solutions that will allow us to resume construction as soon as possible.

Despite this, we remain focused on our goals. We're still excited about the future of these projects and their positive impact they will have on our communities.

Passivhaus (or Passive House) is an advanced, low energy construction standard for buildings. Passivhaus homes typically use around 75% less energy than a standard UK newbuild.
