ECO 4 Real Results
Over the past year, our ECO 4 Funding grant has made a real difference – delivering impressive energy improvements to hundreds of homes and creating warmer, more sustainable living environments for our tenants.
An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rates the energy efficiency banding of your home from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient) and advises which upgrades could improve your rating, such as insulation, upgraded heating systems and renewable energy installations.
What We Achieved
Loreburn was awarded a grant of £4,449,500 and a total of 391 properties benefited from a range of energy efficiency upgrades, including:
328 Solar Panels (£2,429,000)
85 Air Source Heat Pumps (£1,204,000)
66 Heat Retention Electric Storage Heaters (£639,000)
25 Loft Insulations (£50,000)
10 Cavity Wall Insulations (£127,500)
The Impact
These investments have delivered outstanding improvements in EPC ratings—helping tenants reduce energy costs while lowering environmental impact.
Significant upgrades include:
• 46 homes improved from the lowest ‘F’ rating to high-performing ‘A’ or ‘B’
• 112 homes moved from ‘E’ to ‘A’, ‘B’ or ‘C’
• 127 homes upgraded from ‘D’ to ‘A’ or ‘B’
These results highlight the transformative effect of targeted energy investment—turning less efficient homes into warmer, greener and more cost-effective places to live.
